Small Groups

Small groups provide an excellent way for students to get more involved with community life of the Wesley Foundation. They also allow students to discuss various spiritual topics in a more intimate setting. Various new small groups are still to be determined. Small groups range in topic such as, prayer and praise, community gardening, girl group, guy group, etc. Information will be provided soon about topic and times!

Guitar Group: Sundays @ 3:00
Led by: David Johnston
Ever wanted to learn to play guitar? Whether you are beginner, intermediate, or a pro this is the group for you. Bring a guitar if you have one, some extras are available. Come and learn the basics, or get better at what you know.

Freshman Covenant Group:  Monday @ 6:00
Led by:  Sarah Davis and David "Prime" Johnston (Collectively "SarPrime")
This group provides a great way for new freshmen to get to know each other, fellowship, and grow together in Christ. We will start each gathering with the question "What is the condition of your soul?" so that we can share in a casual setting what is on our hearts. Together we will choose what to study, books of the Bible, theological writings, etc. We are starting with 1st Corinthians, reading a chapter together each week.

Jen's Gal's: Monday @ 7:00

This group is an all-girl group focused on encouraging one another to grow in our spiritual walks with the Lord through the study of scripture and prayer.

Senior Covenant Group: Monday @ 9:00
Led by: Christine Griffith
It's our fourth year (more or less) of college, and we're all starting to think about "real" life (whatever that may be) and the future (scary!). We will read spiritual selections from books we feel are relevent to where we are in life right now. Most importantly, we will pray, laugh, and grow with each other.

Loren's Small Group: Tuesday @ 6:00

Come discuss tough topics and find out what the Bible has to say about these every day issues Christians must face. We will be reading Velvet Elvis.

Seth's Small Group: Thursday @ 4:00
Led by: Seth Reich
Whether you have memorized the entire New Testament, or have never cracked open a bible, Seth's small group is for you. Come hang out with us on Thursdays at 4, where you will make new friends and have a great time diving into God's word. We will be watching some cool videos by Rob Bell and reading the most influential Christian book of our time (that's the Bible). Can't wait to see you there!

Organic Gardening Group: Thursday @ ?

The organic community garden located right next to the Wesley Foundation is making a huge comeback. We plant broccoli, basil, snowpeas, and much more. Come and be a part of growing food and growing together.

Graduate Group: Thursday @ ?
Led by: Kristina Little
This group is for grad schoolers or people who recently graduated from undergrad and are looking for a way to connect. They will be reading a book called Struggling with Scripture. It is eloquently written and presents a lot of great topics for discussion.

Prayer and Praise: Thursday @ 7:30
Led by: Quentin Manuel
Join us for a low-key service. Come unwind after a long school week with your favorite worship music and scriptures.
